MESSAGE FOR PEACE IN UKRAINE

Faced with the irrationality of war as a response to the inability to accept and respect the differences between peoples, idiosyncrasies, religions, cultures and territories, we feel impotent and experience at this time pain and sadness for the regression of humanity when it tries to find the solution to its problems in force and self-destruction, however this apparent impotence, we can transform it into a powerful force that believers call prayer, so that God Almighty, may reign forever.

The World Organisation of Former Students of Catholic Education – OMAEC, through its President and Executive Board, expresses its solidarity and support to the Ukrainian citizens and is saddened that the Russian government is blinded by the ephemeral power.

The OMAEC invites and hopes that the Multilateral Organisations will quickly support a frank and sincere dialogue between the parties, so that the disturbance of the world order and peace that should permanently reign between peoples may cease. The pain of so many brothers and sisters affect us, the human losses cry out to heaven.

We make an urgent appeal for world peace and exhort the alumni of Catholic education to unite in prayer and to bring our cry to Him.
